Today was
Angels Day Out, an event organised by NUS. It was quite fun!! Reached school around 8.30am. After all the briefing and distribution of tee-shirts, we reached the nursing home in Chua Chu Kang at around 10am. We began preparing the gifts for the seniors there -- cutting hearts adn decorating them. At around 11 o'clock, the person-in-charge came and welcomed us. She told us around the nursing home's history, and the group of people that they cater to. We also went for a quick tour around the home.
After having our lunch, we stoned for about half an hour. Ms Zheng Mian was discussing about the class outing tonight? Then WeiJia and i was discussing about 2/4 outing? LoL. Then we began to prepare for the gathering for the seniors in the hall. Some helped in making the coffee, the buns and the table. Then we went to fetch the seniors form their wards. It was my first time pushing a wheelchair. It was a bit hard at first. Adwin was telling me how to unlock the wheelchair, then i was like - where? where? i cant see... LoL. After getting all the seniors to the hall, we began serving the buns and coffee to them. After the tea-break was the games!! Our leader, the guy from NUS, was trying to speak Hokkien to the seniors. It was a bit funny lah. And we proceed on with the games! It was superb!! Very fun!! =) And the prizes are all the same?? Hahas. Time flies. It was time that we left the nursing home for The Esplnate(how to spell?).
Along the way, i dozed off. Just too tried.. Then when i woke up, the bus was outside the ERP. Problem - the driver didnt bring his cashcard!! Then how? Got fined lor... =.= It was raining super heavily at the CBD. Thus, we didnt went for the walk. The whole event ended around 6.30pm. Reached home around 7.30pm. This event was very meaningful. I didnt reget going for it!! =)
